The Get Down w/ Jimmy Plates & Russ Ryan

The Get Down returns to The Book Club basement every Friday, with resident and host Jimmy Plates joined at the helm by his weekly guests. This is Block Party business so expect nothing more than the best urban sounds and the music that it stemmed from, ranging from disco, funk and soul, to hiphop, trap, rnb and afrocentric rhythms. The Get Down is the only weekly party in Shoreditch you need to know - so get to know!

Russ Ryan has been playing records as far back as he can remember and his varied style and genres hoping has got him plaudits from pundits far and wide. As a resident of Cirque Du Soul club night he travels the UK and Europe spinning a mixture of beats and treats supporting everyone from Ms Dynamite and Mike Skinner to Horse Meat Disco, showing his versatility on the set. This one is sure to go off!!

Music policy: R&B, hip hop, disco, funk, soul classics.

Price: Free before 9pm, £5 after.
