Leslie Cavendish was ‘The Beatles’ Hairdresser who defined an Era’ ! 

From humble beginnings, he charged headfirst into the whirlwind of the swinging sixties. Working with the worlds most influential band The Beatles, he helped transform their early 1960’s mop top locks into summer of love iconic psychedelic styles. Leslie will be discussing his recollections and personal stories from the heady times of hanging out with The Beatles, Keith Moon, Vidal Sassoon and others.  

Leslie’s exciting and moving accounts of those times are contained in his new book ‘The Cutting Edge’, available to buy on the night and Leslie is happy to sign and dedicate purchased copies. 

The Beatles’ hair changed the world. As their increasingly wild, untamed manes grew, to the horror of parents everywhere, they set off a cultural revolution as the most tangible symbol of the Sixties’ psychedelic dream of peace, love and playful rebellion. In the midst of this epochal change was Leslie Cavendish, hairdresser to the Beatles and some of the greatest stars of the music and entertainment industry.
