For its second screening of the autumn season, literary film salon The Bluestocking Club presents Henry Koster’s 1952 adaption of Daphne du Maurier’s dark drama My Cousin Rachel.
Starring the breath-taking Olivia de Havilland (of Gone With the Wind Fame) as cousin Rachel, and the inimitable Richard Burton as the hapless Philip, the film tells the story of a murder that may have taken place at the hands of the alluring and mysterious Rachel—but did she? Or didn’t she?
Introduced by a surprise guest author, The Bluestocking Club is delighted to present this cinema classic at The Book Club this October.
