Guerilla Science presents: Fright Night
Greenwich Mean Time
at The Book Club
Event Details
Delve into your darkest nightmares, explore the horrors of sleep paralysis and learn lucid dreaming techniques to overcome them.
Why do we have nightmares, and what can we do about them? Join psychologists and filmmakers to delve into the world of night terrors, sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming and more in an evening hosted by Guerilla Science. Artist and producer Carla MacKinnon shares her own experience of sleep paralysis with a screening of the award-winning experimental short documentary Devil in the Room, which evokes and explores the worlds between sleeping and waking.
Discover how disrupted circadian rhythms can impact sleep, and how we can gain control of our dreams through techniques like lucid dreaming. Learn how to direct your own dreamscapes and navigate nocturnal meditations as you delve into the human mind.
Guests are invited to make their own sleepy tea to take away, drawing on herbal and orthodox medicine to create their own blend of night time brew.
