The 4th Estate Literary Salon
British Summer Time
at The Book Club
Event Details
At this autumn’s 4th Estate Literary Salon at The Book Club, we will be discussing women and the workplace with three incredible writers who, in their different fields, are leading the way in shaping the conversation about gender and industry in fresh and exciting ways.
How do you ask for a pay rise? How do you know when you’ve been discriminated against? What platforms are out there for people who feel the same and want to be heard? Our eminent panel of experts will be discussing all this and more, sharing career tips, practical advice and illuminating research on the challenges we face, what can we do about them and what networks are already out there to support us.
Otegha Uwagba, author of Little Black Book and founder of Women Who, a community for creative working women; Angela Saini, science journalist and author of Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong – and the New Research That’s Rewriting the Story, and June Sarpong MBE, television presenter, broadcaster and author of Diversify. The discussion will be chaired by presenter and fashion consultant Grace Woodward.
