Exhibition Launch: Beautiful Glorious Chaos by James Dawe
British Summer Time
at The Book Club
Event Details
The exhibition runs until June 25th.
This April The Book Club welcomes James Dawe and his exhibition Beautiful Glorious Chaos.
An in-demand commercial artist and illustrator, James works predominantly in mixed media collage, digital manipulation and 3D experimentation. His dramatic compositions cascade across the page throwing up unexpected, often abstract “glitchy” imagery reflective of his all-embracing energy.
In this exhibition Dawe journeys across sprawling virtual landscapes and the terrain of new technology, through black holes and in and out of reality.
James’ postmodern and eclectic approach defies gravity; pulling in objects and graphic fragments from the internet and personal archives which chaotically collide into luxuriously textured future-scapes from a parallel place.
This exhibition parodies theories of physics and the mysteries of the universe to throw up a topsy turvy timeline - resulting in a short animation.
Time: 7pm - 12am
