The Get Down returns to The Book Club basement every Friday, with resident and host Jimmy Plates joined at the helm by his weekly guests. This is Block Party business so expect nothing more than the best urban sounds and the music that it stemmed from, ranging from disco, funk and soul, to hiphop, trap, rnb and afrocentric rhythms. The Get Down is the only weekly party in Shoreditch you need to know. So Get to Know!
Sam Redmore:
It’s fair to say that Sam Redmore isn’t your average Producer/DJ. With a mashup style like no other he will be mixing the genres and keeping you on your toes. With edits of the likes of Q-tip & Prince Fatty through to Bob Marley and the Beatles you can expect this guy to bring a bag full of fire. He’ll be playing with resident Jimmy so expect the freshest sounds this Friday!
Music policy: R&B, hip hop, disco, funk, soul classics.
Time: 8pm - 2am
Price: Free before 9pm, £5 after
