Expect another roadblock fanfare of fine Underground dance floor jammers spanning the spectrum of Black music, showcased by our wonderful selectors alongside the resident hostess DJ Marcia Carr.

*Angel Mel*

Bristolian Angel Mel is fast becoming a well known name across the dance floors and on the lips of music lovers. Her choice of sounds range from; Soul, Funk, Raregroove, Disco, Acid Jazz, Bossanova to Reggae, Electronica and everything In Beat Ween. 

Referring to herself as a selector, Angel opts to blend tracks together and pays homage to the artists by playing tracks in full, while interspersing the end of the tracks with lively quotes and samples.

*Maureen Sparkles*
Quintessentially diverse talented with many strings to her bow, the lady who goes by Maureen Sparkles is also an Auntie whose art ranges from heritage performance, music and vintage DJ services to bespoke site- or project specific tailored events planning. Devoted, her expertise drives the curating of a unique collection of classic design in menswear and handmade luxury lifestyle articles with related personal shopping or styling assistance while presiding over a specialist retail gallery space. 

Auntie Maureen takes pleasure in dedicating her ventures to times gone by to create an unforgettable experience steeped deeply in heritage, history, a touch of nostalgia. Auntie Mareen is also curator of the#iamDJAppreciationSociety - a regular listening event for all to enjoy with a LIVE playlist curated by women and gender queer music lovers.
