This Halloween, The Book Club
invites you to a terrifying terrain of evil OAPS, hermaphrodite sea creatures,
urban crack foxes and sinister hitchhikers as we celebrate everyone’s favourite
cult British comedy, The Mighty Boosh. We’ll be transforming the venue
into a homage to the glorious (and surreal) minds of Noel Fielding and Julian
Barret, a world where the only way to drink Baileys is out of a shoe, the moon
talks and an evil crack fox with syringes for fingers lurks in every pile of
garbage.
Our basement club will transform into the murky depths of
‘Old Greggs Place’ with Boosh themed cocktails and DJS spinning everything from
Weather Report to Fleetwood Mac and a hidden room will become
‘The Crack Fox’s’ bin bag lair, keep your eyes peeled as he may try to make you
drink blood from a cat’s face!
Our Ground Floor will be providing the perfect backdrop to our Boosh Themed
Bingo. Mind out for Nana-too the innocent looking granny who wields
knitting needles and could at any moment appear to ruin your evening with her
OAP’s buss pass based violence!
You’ll also find a cinema room screening the spookiest and most twisted
episodes from the show including Nanageddon, Mutants, The
Nightmare of Milky Joe and more! But be careful, as you wander between the
floors, as everyone’s favourite Hitcher will be combing the venue with his Solo
Polo vision ready to snare you and ply undiscerning travellers with jellied
eels!
So whether it’s a pint with the Hitcher you’re after, or an evening drinking Baileys from a shoe with Old Gregg, the Book Club is the only place to be this Halloween.
Fancy dress not compulsory but encouraged.
