"The secret society you can join...if you can get a ticket!"

"For 2hrs every 2 months, the smartest room in London"

Every 2 months, P/O/P/A/G/A/N/D/A controversially takes one issue that is floating through popular culture, people’s minds and current conversations without perhaps being fully considered, examined, punctured, ‘popped’.

After sell out events throughout 2015 and 2016 the next P/O/P/A/G/A/N/D/A, at The Book Club 'pops' contemporary notions around marriage.

With divorce rates highest in 'Starter Marriages' between couples under 30 who can all assume to have a life expectancy of 100 and the ability to connect with other potential partners no more than a tap of an app away when things get tough at home, is the very fairytale notion and model of marriage outdated, outmoded and outstaying its utility and welcome as a template for well being over a lifetime. With a top marital coach and 'chick lit' expert helping us 'pop' notions around marriage, idealised weddings and intractable break ups, this month's P/O/P/A/G/A/N/D/A should help you re-frame whether marriage today is an unnecessary life sentence and if there's better models of commitment now available to us all.

Time: 2pm - 4pm

Price: £5 - tickets here.
