Live poetry and spoken word from the Hackney branch of the UK's biggest network of performance poetry events. Featuring sets from Paula Varjack and Adam Kammerling and the open mic slam, where you have 3 mins on the mic to impress a randomly selected panel of judges.
Paula Varjack is an artist working in theatre, performance and video. Her work explores identity, our relationships with each other and with cities. She has performed at numerous cultural spaces including: Tate Modern, The Victoria & Albert Museum, Richmix, Battersea Arts Centre, The Southbank Centre, and The Photographer's Gallery.
Adam Kammerling: a former Hammer & Tongue national slam champion, Adam is also one half of hip hop duo Adam and Cuth and a star of Don't Flop rap battles. His work encompasses the finer and grimier points of everyday life, celebrating the minutiae with an observant eye and a healthy dose of surreal humour.Time: 8pm - 11pm
