Event Details

Ruby believes that being non-monogomous is bloody wonderful! She’s here to celebrate that, along with discussing the all-too-common challenges we can face.

From working on your communication and navigating jealousy, to challenging common misconceptions from family and friends: we can face a unique set of challenges which are rarely publically addressed. As a happy non-monogamous woman, Ruby is passionate about helping others to feel confident about the way they choose to date and love, and curious to learn and share other people’s stories.

Join Ruby for an evening of curated conversation about the joys and challenges of carving your own path when it comes to relationships. Ruby will start the evening sharing some of her own experiences, and then you’ll be invited to discuss a series of topics in small groups. This is a space to ask questions, listen, learn from others and share your own experiences, all in a warm and welcoming environment.

This event is designed for people of all genders and sexualitites who are currently practicing non-monogamy, or are interested in exploring alternative relationship structures.

Whether you’ve been poly for decades, or you’re just beginning to explore, Ruby hopes that you’ll end the night feeling a sense of community and empowerment!

Please note this isn’t a pick up spot. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but this event is designed for making platonic connections, so please don’t be creepy! Respect, confidentiality and consent are fundamental principles of Ruby Rare events, and all attendees are expected to uphold them. The organiser reserves the right to ask anyone to leave should their behaviour be in breach of these principles.

Ruby Rare events are founded on the principle of inclusivity and have a NOTAFLOF policy (no one turned away for lack of funds). If the ticket price is prohibitive to you, please contact Ruby in advance to request a discount.
