Event Details

This event is postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Across the globe, popular uprisings are uniting people calling for reform and change. With borders being broken by a common thread of justice, how do we find individual voices that bring us altogether?

Young Shubbak present Thawra, She Said, a night of eruptive and moving spoken word along with short films from Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and more, reflecting on the intimate moments of resistance within a time of great revolution.

In a collaboration with AWAN (Arab Women Artists Now) Festival, emerging local and international artists will explore distress, healing and familiar instances that live inside our greater socio-political struggles.

Together we are stronger and our voices louder.

The Young Shubbak programme is supported by The Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
