"The biggest spoken word night in London for women" (Evening Standard) that was called "feminism at its ruthless best" by Blouinart is back at The Book Club in Shoreditch!.

That's What She Said showcases the best new writing and performance by women and non-binary writers, featuring iconic and emerging authors with a mix of performance, poetry, storytelling, slam and more.


⭐ EMY.P ⭐

EMY.P (@emypmate) is a spoken word artist, BBC London featured poet and Musician born and raised in Essex. On a personal mission to raise awareness and DE stigmatize the negative viewpoints surrounding ADHD in adults, EMY’s honest writing approach and dark humor delves into the minds of everyday people as well as her own wired brain. Emy.P was recently featured in the list of TOP 50 Neurodivergent Women 2019 and also won the Undiscovered Talent Spoken Word Artist award in November.

Describing herself as “Passionate, Chaotic and Scruffy” EMY’s relate-able stories and electric performance are proving to be very popular on the UK Spoken word scene.

⭐BILLIE P-N ⭐

Billie P-N (@billiepnpoem) is a writer, poet, and loveable rogue from South London. She loves showing off and talking about her emotions so spoken word felt like the natural next step. Since starting in spring of 2019, she's been thrilled to discover that people seem to enjoy listening to what she has to say. She’s featured at poetry nights across the city and has been lucky enough to have her work included in various anthologies.

JOSA KEYES ⭐

Josa Keyes (@JosaKeyes) (formerly known as Josa Young) is a writer whose creative career has spanned anything that would win the bread for her three children, from journalism to copy writing, complaints procedures to car websites. Somehow, she’s also managed to produce poetry, short stories and two published novels. Her second, Sail upon the Land, was long listed for a Historical Novel Society award. She read English Literature at Cambridge University, and is currently studying for a Master’s in Creative Writing at Brunel University London.

Open mic walk ups on the evening are welcomed but with limited places it might be advisable use our OPEN MIC - EASY SIGN UP FORM if you have a burning desire to speak out and speak up.
