Join us at this beginner’s workshop where you'll spend time practicing the meditative art of modern calligraphy.
Learn the basics to create elegant hand-written shapes and letters using a dip pen and ink, unlocking your own creative style.
You’ll be gifted a Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Kit to take home, encompassing a practice exercise sheet, ink, nib and pen holder.
The teacher is left-handed and so the class is suitable for either right- or left-handers, you’ll be given tips tailored to your personal style.
Come armed with a couple of words/a phrase that you’d love to be able to calligraphise by the end of the class!
Whilst this class teaches the basics, with lots of practice modern calligraphy can be a wonderful skill to hone. In time you’ll be able to personalise gift tags, address envelopes, create a seating plan for your/a loved one's wedding – the possibilities are endless!
Each class will have a maximum of 10 people in order to give each attendee plenty of one-on-one time with the teacher, with light refreshments provided.
No experience is necessary for this workshop, this is strictly a beginner's class.
