Join us every Thursday in November as we celebrate the one and only Björk
Singer, songwriter, DJ, composer, actress, record producer, Björk is a true artist and innovator who has trailblazed a Bjork-shaped stamp over music and contemporary culture. Initially referred to as a ‘Pixie’ by the press, her evolution as an artist has intoxicated us across a phenomenally extensive body of art that seem to exude from every fibre of her being, spanning music, technology and art.
Sheroes is a free weekly event which celebrates female music and style icons that have created a lasting legacy in pop culture. Focusing on a different artist each month, a pool of resident DJs play a selection of their favourite tracks by the artist as well as selections that have influenced these DJ'S wider music collection.
Join us for the roundtable in The Book Club's Ping Pong room on the 29th November the future of fembots N titled 'Bjork’s AI fantasy: sexualized fembots and the future female' as inspired by Bjork’s iconic All is Full of Love video. Womxn in science and fashion will celebrate this sheroe to debate the pros and cons of fembots and the sexualisation of women in design.
