The Get Down w/ Jimmy Plates & Rob Pursey

The Get Down returns to The Book Club basement every Friday, with resident and host Jimmy Plates joined at the helm by his weekly guests. This is Block Party business so expect nothing more than the best urban sounds and the music that it stemmed from, ranging from disco, funk and soul, to hiphop, trap, rnb and afrocentric rhythms. The Get Down is the only weekly party in Shoreditch you need to know - so get to know!

This week The Get Down welcomes everyone’s favourite DJ, Rob Pursey (Hip Hop Karaoke / Rated R) back to the The Get Down, this week he teams up with The Get Down resident spinner Jimmy Plates playing back to back dance floor anthems all night. As well as colleagues these two are fiercely competitive friends and we can’t wait to see them digging deep to outdo each other in a b2b set all night this Friday.  As always, it’s guaranteed to be the best party in town.

Music policy: R&B, hip hop, disco, funk, soul classics.

Price: Free before 9pm, £5 after.
