The Get Down w/ Jimmy Plates & Mr Chex

The Get Down returns to The Book Club basement every Friday, with resident and host Jimmy Plates joined at the helm by his weekly guests. This is Block Party business so expect nothing more than the best urban sounds and the music that it stemmed from, ranging from disco, funk and soul, to hiphop, trap, rnb and afrocentric rhythms. The Get Down is the only weekly party in Shoreditch you need to know - so get to know!

This weeks guest is none-other than Mr Chex; a south Londoner at heartwhich reflects in his soulful selections. Playing almost exclusively vinyl selections, he brings a sense of suave and sensuous soul music to The Get Down. As well as this he knows how to throw down so expect some Main room heaters towards the end of the night!!

Music policy: R&B, hip hop, disco, funk, soul classics.

Price: Free before 9pm, £5 after.
